Solemn and gallant, this pine tree stays near the road from Tartu to Põlva in south Estonia, impossible to pass unnoticed by any being at least half awake. So eyecatching is its figure.
Yet another tree difficult to photograph because of the road passing just beside it, and the buildings nearby. It was just one of the rare occasions we luckily had some weeks ago that made this shot possible. The weather was cooling very quickly overnight after being moist and relatively warm -- the condition that generates frost on trees. And a lot of fog, enough to cover most of the disturbing details from such scenery. Having born in my mind this place, looking for the appropriate weather i almost immediately headed for this when i noticed the weather that morning.
Unfortunately, as it happened in mid of the week (could someone please tell me, WHY is the weather always fine in workdays, and mostly moody and depressing in weekends?), i had to spend my lunch time to rush out 30km from the city, fumbling with tripod, taking some quick shots and then hurrying back to work...
